If President Trump has his way, all the schools across the country will open for the new school year. But that leaves a tremendous amount of unanswered questions about how school districts will keep staff and students safe, who will pay for testing, how will sick days be handled, and more.
Central IL school districts are scrambling to get their plans in place before schools would be set to open, in many cases, next month.
So far, Only the Riverton School District has released its plan. As for the other districts in the area, according to News Channel 20:
· District 186 will release theirs on Monday, July 20.
· Williamsville-Sherman will release theirs on Friday, July 24.
· Ball-Chatham has not released a date for their announcement yet.
If the school districts here follow what many other school systems around the country are doing, parents and students should be prepared for a mixture of online classes with limited time in the schools.
