A 34-year-old woman had a dilemma. She was hungry, but all of the restaurants were closed. She went to her refrigerator, and all it had to offer was sushi she has purchased at a gas station… 5DAYS AGO!
The woman ate it anyway, despite the fact she admits she had to cover up a sour taste with soy sauce. Not long after, she started suffering a bizarre list of ailments
It started with insomnia so severe that she was left feeling anxious and like her “heart was beating out of her chest. She suffered from malnutrition and hallucinations. Twice she had seizures that sent her to the hospital. She had stomach cramps that she described as a fish flopping around in her stomach.
This went on for months, and blood tests couldn’t find out what was wrong.
Finally, doctors checked her stool, and the mystery was solved. They found THOUSANDS of tapeworm eggs along with broken off segments of tapeworm.
The woman identified as only JC was given praziquantel, an anti-worm medication, and made a full recovery.
Moral of the story – NEVER eat gas station sushi… especially 5-day-old gas station sushi.
