If we are truly being honest with ourselves, no one wants a cheap wedding gift. However, this is probably NOT the way to get a better gift. Or, maybe it is genius. You decide…
An RSVP card is making the rounds on Reddit right now that shows a couple will feed you better if you spend more on their wedding gift. If you go cheap (the loving gift), you can choose chicken or swordfish. If you go extravagant (platinum estate), you can have a choice of a two-pound lobster, a souvenir champagne goblet, or the vegetarian or Kosher option. It is probably worth noting that to even be offered a vegetarian or Kosher option, you have to go extravagant.
The entire break down was
Up to $250- roast chicken or swordfish.
$251 to $500- sliced steak or poached salmon.
$501 to $1,000-filet mignon or lobster tails.
$1,001 to $2,500 or more- two-pound lobster, a souvenir champagne goblet, or the vegetarian or Kosher option
One person on Reddit wondered if this was actually for a fundraiser, in which case the tiered option was acceptable.
