Bridezilla Warning!! Many wedding have had to make adjustment from the original plan due to COVID-19. But this approach really takes the wedding cake.
From The Reddit's AITA column comes the story of a women whose SISTER is requiring any one who wants to attend her wedding to right not one but two 250 word essays on why they should attend. The sister's wedding had to be scaled down as a result of the pandemic and thought this would be a great way to decide to invite. The sister also said anyone who didn't right an essay would be removed from consideration.
The woman told her sister in no uncertain terms that she would not be writing an essay (let alone two of them)... plus buy a dress for the wedding... plus air line tickets... plus a gift. This refusal lead to a bit of a family feud as both the sister and their parents thought the essay was an awesome idea and were a bit miffed by the woman's stance.
For the most part Reddit readers agreed that the sister is a Bridezilla. Even the ones who thought the essay idea wasn't terrible still thought that is should have been reserved for friends an not the immediate family.
At any rate, I sense a lot of tension at the Thanksgiving table this year.
