Effective immediately, if you plan on going to one of Springfield's more than 30 parks, bring your face mask as they are now required.
"The Springfield Park District is now requiring all patrons to where a mask when entering any of our facilities.
We appreciate you patronage and thank you for your understanding in these unusual times!"
In addition to open green space parks, the park district also owns Henson Robinson Children's Zoo, Robin Roberts Stadium and several golf courses.
