One of the most successful microbreweries in central Illinois had been forced to close its doors as COVID-19 has taken its toll on the restaurant and bar communities.

Rolling Meadows brewery in Cantrall opened in 2011 and had been hugely successful. However, co-founder Caren Trudeau told the SJR that COVID killed their expansion. But even with their doors closing, a come back once the country is out of the pandemic and the economy recovers may not be totally out of the questions.

Trudeau said the family will continue to farm their 1,400 acres and would also consider renting out their brewery.

The brewery will be open this week for customers to pick up cases only
