On Thursday, Gov. JB Pritzker announced $103.5 million in grant money from the Rebuild Illinois Capital Plan will go to fifteen community colleges in Illinois to improve their campuses and Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield is one of the recipients
LLCC President Charlotte Warren told News Channel 20 the $3.8 they are receiving will be used to upgrade the 20-year-old Student Service Center.
The largest recipient is Harper College in Palatine. That facility is receiving $42 million for a one-stop admissions and campus student life center and related improvements.
The other community colleges receiving funds are:
Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg ($422,700)
College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn ($3.3 million)
Danville Area Community College in Danville ($2.3 million)
John A. Logan College in Carterville ($3.8 million)
Lincoln Trail College (Illinois Eastern Community Colleges) in Robinson ($8.4)
McHenry County College in Crystal Lake ($15.8 )
Morton College in Cicero ($4.9 million)
Olney Central College (Illinois Eastern Community Colleges) in Olney ($2.3)
Rend Lake College in Ina ($5.3 million)
Shawnee Community College in Ullin ($2 million)
Southeastern Illinois College in Carmi ($1.7 million)
Spoon River College in Macomb ($6.1 million)
Triton College in River Grove ( $1.7)
