IDOT Looking To Hire Snow Plow Drivers

It may seem like winter is still a long way off but, before you know it, the white stuff will be falling, and IDOT is looking for people to clean it off of the 45,000 lane miles in the state. The department plans to hire qualified snowplow drivers on both a full time and on-call basis.

While Chicago may see up to 37 inches of snow each year, Central Illinois sees approximately 14 inches of snow or less. However, and for what it is worth, the Farmers Almanac is calling for a frigid and snowy winter for our area this year.
