Home Struck With Gun Fire In Sunday Morning Shooting

Springfield Police are investigating a shooting on East Cook Street between 15th and 16th Streets that happened just before 7 am Sunday morning.

At least 18 shell casings were recovered after a suspect coming out of the Fresh Express at 1529 E. Cooke fired at a passing vehicle. After the shooting, the suspect fled on foot

One bullet went through the window of a house, hitting a mattress a woman was laying on but did not strike her.

No injuries were reported as a result of the shooting, and the suspect remains at large
