We live in an online world, and businesses, especially restaurants, can live and die by online reviews
Dan Ahrens owns Georgia Boy's Bar-B-Que in Tampa. He was not happy to see two negative reviews pop up on Yelp. They were under different names describing how awful the food is. One went as far as to compare the food to garbage. The other said they wouldn't feed the food to a their dog.
Dan must have assumed that one of those negative reviews were written by his girlfriend's son – though there’s no proof he did. He showed up at the girlfriend's house the day after the posts showed up, saw the son, and then chased down the street. The son tripped and fell, and that's when Dan landed some punches.
Now the 60-year-old is facing battery charges.
It's probably worth noting that Dan is also facing charges for attacking his girlfriend last July. He spent 11 days in jail for that assault. It wouldn't be surprising to hear he's headed back to jail for this one as well
