From Smithfield, Kentucky comes the "tail" of 26-year-old Brandon Harmon. Back on August 26th, police were called after someone spotted Harmon trespassing on their property.
When the officer arrived, Harmon asked to be taken to another location where he knew of a stolen weed trimmer. The good news- they did find a weed trimmer. The bad news – it was not the one reported stolen.
So that’s when master criminal Harmon decided to change the subject to the stolen police dog. The dog had disappeared out of its fenced yard and was gone for weeks before it was recovered. Thinking this was a strange shift in topics, the officer asked Harmon if he knew anything about the incident.
Harmon replied that he “had something to do with it.”
It would appear that, with Harmon being an idiot and dogs being dogs, he managed to coax the canine out of the yard with Vienna sausages. So yeah, Harmon admitted to stealing a police dog to the police.
He was arrested for theft by unlawful taking and second-degree criminal trespassing
