OK, kids, say it with me, “Never return to the scene of the crime.” That’s a lesson 47-year-old Alice Henry apparently never learned.

According to her STORY, Alice found this beautiful ring with a metal detector on the beach. So she went to a local jewelry store in Winter Haven, Florida, to see if they would be interested in buying it from her.

However, when an employee of the store gave the ring a little look-see, two things became apparent. One, the ring was in perfect condition- not what you would expect from a ring that had been lost at the beach. Second, and perhaps most importantly, it looked EXACTLY like a ring that had been stolen from that very jewelry store during a burglary back in July.

I guess Alice thought since the jewelry store knew what the ring was worth, they would give her a good price????

At any rate, she was arrested and is now facing felony grand theft and felony dealing in stolen property charges.
