So is it a fair food or is it good for you??
Keep your eyes open the next time you are at the grocery store. Borden has brought back its line of Texas State Fair Themed flavored milks. The flavored milks will be available through mid-October and include
Cotton Candy
Carmel Popcorn
Banana Taffy
Fried Cherry Pie
Fried Cherry Pie is a bit of an enigma in that it is not mentioned on Borden’s website or press release but it has been spotted in stores.
According to the company's official press release:
"While we can't all be together in person to enjoy all the famous food of the State Fair, families can still enjoy the Fair's fun and indulgent flavors in their homes when they try Borden's unique milk flavors," said Pete Schenkel, Borden Board Member and former Chairman of the State Fair of Texas. "The State Fair holds a special place in my heart as it does for many, and the company is honoring the tradition by bringing consumer-voted flavors to the dairy aisle through mid-October."
Also, you may need to travel a bit to snag one. The specialty milks are only available in 16-oz bottles at Walmart, HEB, Circle K, Dallas, and Houston Kroger stores, and other select retailers in Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Ohio.
