Springfield police have made two arrests in the shooting of a teenage male in the 3100 block of Butler Street last Monday afternoon.
Both an 18-year-old from East St Louis and a 16-year-old from St Louis were taken in for questioning. Both had firearms in their possession – including one that was reported as stolen out of Missouri.
According to the SJR, the two are facing charges of aggravated, unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated discharge of a weapon.
The 16-year-old victim was treated at HSHS St John’s Hospital fro a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his arm.
