It was welcome news to over 2600 small businesses in 400 cites across Illinois. Governor JB Pritzker and the IL Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity will be handing out $46 million in grants in the Business Interruption Grant (BIG) program.

The first round of BIG funding will range from $10-$20,000 to help businesses with working capital expenses such as payroll, rent, and equipment with much of the money going to the hardest-hit areas of the state.
