The Sangamon County Department of Public Health reported 11 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, and 22 new confirmed cases on Sunday.

The total number of positive cases in the county now stands at 1,806, with 21 people hospitalized and 40 deaths reported.

Additionally, as of Friday, Sangamon, Greene, Cass, and Morgan are now among the 30 counties in Illinois to be on the “warning list".

Counties on the warning list are those that have seen in an increase in 2 or more COVID-19 risk indicators that include.

• More than 50 new cases per 100,000 people in the county

• When the weekly number of deaths increases more than 20% for two consecutive weeks.

• The 7-day test positivity rate rises above 8%.

• There are fewer than 20% of intensive care units available in the region

• when the weekly percent of COVID-19-like-illness emergency department visits increase by more than 20% for two consecutive weeks.

• The weekly number of hospital admissions for COVID-19-like-illness increases by more than 20% for two consecutive weeks.
