The Sangamon County Department of Public Health reported 30 new, confirmed COVID-19 cases over the weekend (17 on Saturday and 13 on Sunday).

More than half of the new cases involve individuals under the age of 50.

Currently, the county is reporting a total of 2,218 confirmed cases and 9 hospitalizations
